Highways England has invited the public to give their views to help identfy permanent improvements to avoid the need for Operation Stack and how freight traffic should be managed during a six-week listening exercise. The listening exercise commences on Monday 11 June and ends on Sunday 22 July.
This public exercise will also seek views about whether there should be everyday 24 hour lorry parking available to reduce nuisance "ad hoc" lorry parking on Kent's roads and lay-bys.
As part of the "listening exercise" there will be a series of information events. For details please see a separate post.
