Oliver Letwin's Report - Proposed New Planning Rules "To Boost Build Out Rate for Large Sites"

A new set of rules should be produced for sites with more than 1,500 homes to speed up property building says Sir Oliver Letwin’s report (see below). The proposed new rules would require developers to build a wider range of properties with different designs and tenures which, in turn, would speed up build and sales.

Having too many identical properties on large sites, with an adverse effect upon sales, is the fundamental reason behind the slow completion rate.
